Upcoming Events At Hueston Woods State Park
August 29
August 29th at 10:00 AM. Join us for a Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony to celebrate our new Swinging Bridge on Big Woods Trail. Located in Hueston Woods State Nature Preserve. Park on Sugarbush Road and join us on Big Woods Trail down by the creek.
September 4-6
Labor Day Extravaganza- sponsored by the Preble County Chapter of Ohio Horseman's Council. Spend the weekend at the Horseman's Camp in Hueston Woods State Park and enjoy trail riding, good food, and fun activities with your horse.
September 11-12
America 250 celebration -Remember: Lights in the Sky Drone Show at Hueston Woods Lodge and Conference Center. Some of the activities include a live band, Jeep show, face painting, and a performance by Miami University Glee Club.
September 12
Watershed Education Event at Hueston Woods State Park Nature Center and Marina. Learn about watersheds and their role in a healthy environment. Some activities include canoe and pontoon tours, demonstrations, and Park promotions. Sponsored by Ohio Department of Natural Resources, Miami University, and Visitors Bureau of Hueston Woods Region.
September 19
10:00 AM Hueston Woods Sailing Experience at the Hueston Woods State Park Marina and Nature Center. Sponsored by the Hueston Sailing Association and Hueston Woods State Park. Sign up to experience sailing on Acton Lake, then visit our Nature Center for a program with our Naturalist. Lunch for Attendees provided by the Visitors Bureau of Hueston Woods Region.

Sailing
Enjoy the tranquil environment at Acton Lake due to the no wake speed regulations. These guidelines ensure that sailors can glide smoothly across the surface without the disruptive waves associated with faster boats.

Biking
Enjoy the scenery on the 9 mile loop around Acton Lake, as well as 22 miles of mountain bike trails.

Bridle Trails
Campers can set up their sites near the trails, ensuring easy access for daily rides. Day-use areas also cater to horse enthusiasts.
