Hueston Woods State Park features over 12 miles of hiking trails ranging from easy half-mile loops to moderate multi-mile treks through old-growth forests and along Acton Lake. The park also contains approximately 18 miles of bridle trails and 25 miles of mountain bike trails, some of which are shared for hiking.  

Leashed dogs are allowed on the trails, with the exception of the Hueston Woods State Nature Preserve.
